Chad and co-host George Gillas interview dancer and author Sharon Savoy. Sharon's new book Ballroom! - Obsession and Passion in the World of Competitive Dance provides the theme for this show. Sharon Savoy has performed in Hollywood movies, on the Miss America Pageant, at the Kennedy Center and the Sydney Olympics. In her years as a competitor and a performer, she had a first hand personal look at the world of competition and Ballroom, Latin, and Exhibition dancing. Her insight gives us a back stage pass to the behind the scenes world of competition dancers, the judges, and the politics of dance.
Sharon and George speak about the inspiration for their books (As presented in an earlier show, George is the author of POET: A Four Step Process to Train Your Brain). What comes through is passion for the work, falling in love with it, and sharing that passion, that love, with others.
